Concerning the recent flap about Presidential candidates that fail to cover their heart during a playing of the National Anthem and my thoughts about that...In Nazi Germany if you failed to scream "Heil Hitler" with a snappy thrust of your right arm at the proper time, usually during some mass rally, you would be taken away and shot or at best have the daylights beaten out of you. Thankfully , here in the U.S. where, during the playing of the National Anthem if you don't feel like raising your arm to cover your heart to prove you love America , nothing happens! maybe a few zealots get a hair across their collective asses about it. Personally I don't cover my heart during the National Anthem. I don't have to prove anything to anybody, I spent three years of honorable service in the Marine Corps in defense of this Country. When I hear the Anthem, like most of us, I get goose bumps and my heart quickens a little, I love this country but thats a personal thing and nobody's business but mine, as is the case with Mr. Obama I am certain. He doesn't have to raise his hand to cover his heart, I can see it in his face. JR
